The RxQual parameter represents the quality of the received signal. Range of RxQual codes is from 0 to 7. Code 0 indicates the highest quality and code 7 is the worst. This code depends ib the BER (Bit Error rate) value. BER represent the ratio of bits received with errors and total received bits. The higher the bit error, the larger the RxQual code. BER values in the range of 0.2-12.8% are logarithmically mapped to these codes.
RxQual code | Bit Error rate |
---|---|
0 | <0.2% |
1 | 0.2% to 0.4% |
2 | 0.4% to 0.8% |
3 | 0.8% to 1.6% |
4 | 1.6% to 3.2% |
5 | 3.2% to 6.4% |
6 | 6.4% to 12.8% |
7 | >12.8% |
